Steven Key - Competing at the Memorial Championships, AZ - 2017

Steven Key - Competing at the Memorial Championships - 2017

In the beginning, life long disc golf enthusiast Steven Key set out to find as many new players as possible, encouraging growth and development with anyone willing to learn the game. Soon a community of both experts and new players started meeting regularly at local courses, parks, and backyards. Shared experiences and adventures soon turned into a well organized team of developed players and professionals.

In 2017 the Soarin’ Disc Golf Club was established with the goal set to help promote disc golf to new players and improve local courses. With original members ranging from grand master to recreational warriors, the team was determined to help grow the sport and perfect the process of developing disc golf skills along the way. As new players continued to learn, Stevens father designed safari courses in the SoCal area to help better the players and expand their game. These safari rounds helped players grow in their game and mentally compete. Some of these players even went on to become the best in the world…

As more and more players joined in on the growing movement Soarin’ continued to push the standards of professionalism and course standards. This meant pristine course design, advanced equipment selection, and high levels of encouragement for players. Every step of the way Soarin’ promotes the game and its people.
